The ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter is a co-sponsor with Northwell Health of an ALS Association Program. Located at 611 Northern Boulevard, Great Neck, NY, the Northwell Health Center brings quality care to patients in the Long Island region of New York.
Geared toward helping patients live more productively and independently, the Center provides a coordinated program of medical treatment, rehabilitation techniques and psychological support in a warm and compassionate environment. Comprehensive assessments, diagnostic and follow-up testing, education and treatment are individualized for each patient.
Dr. Bibhuti Mishra, who is the director of neuromuscular medicine at the Northwell Health Neuroscience Institute and is the Associate Professor, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, heads the multidisciplinary treatment team that includes: Neurology, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and Social Work.
